Fix RAPI.dll

Fix Kernel32

DLL errors are a common occurrence for those who use WinOS operating systems. There are numerous types of DLL errors, but one of the most familiar is the Rapi.dll error. When this type of error occurs, your screen will display a message that says, "Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module Rapi.dll."

What is a Rapi.dll Error?

If you have received the following WinOS operating system error message (or similar): rapi.dll, was not found.
you must repair or replace this specific DLL file. The reason you are receiving this error is that the Remote Application Programming Interface (RAPI), is no longer recognized on your PC. It may have been deleted, damaged, or installed incorrectly. A dynamic link library, or DLL, is a file that contains smaller programs, and is designed to enable executable (*.exe) programs, to perform certain functions. DLLs are modulated to allow the system to run only necessary programs, which helps it work faster. Modulation also makes it easier to update software, making changes to certain modules without risking harm to other parts of the program.

The RAPI.DLL is a core module, vital to the Microsoft ActiveSync; a remote/mobile data application used to synchronize data between a desktop and handheld devices (iPhone, smartphone, iPad etc.), as well as synchronizing applications, such as MS Outlook, on different servers (to support the exchange of contacts, calendars, tasks, and emails).

ActiveSync uses the rapi.dll enable files to be viewed, folders to be created, in addition to accessing the settings and registry of your remote device, from your desktop, should they need to be changed or updated.

Why is this happening?

issues in locating or recognizing this DLL file could be the result of normal system wear-and-tear, through installing and uninstalling of third-party applications, or even having conflicting applications running on your PC. Occasionally, the cause could be malware, but as of yet, no known instances of this DLL have been recognized as a threat in itself. These days, missing DLLs shouldn't be more of troublesome than replacing a battery in a flashlight. But if you need to use your flashlight, you will definitely need that battery, and using Reimage, you don't even have to worry about the specific type of battery need, or where to find it.

What to do?

If you are a Reimage subscriber, the solution is as simple as clicking on a button.

  1. Run Reimage. Allow it to scan your system and locate the missing or damaged file. Depending on the individual PC, this can take as few as 3 minutes or as long as 10. We suggest that you allow for a full scan of your system to ensure a full and through repair.
  2. Click "Start repair" and allow the remote PC repair tool to work its magic in no time at all.

If you are not a reimage subscriber, the solution is slightly tricky.

  1. Go to "Start" and click "Run".
  2. Type %temp% and click "OK".
  3. Locate the following log files: wcesmgr.log or wcescomm.log
  4. Verify that the problem is indeed conflicting versions of the RAPI.DLL.
  5. If so, locate and delete the RAPI.DLL file (located in system32)
  6. Download and install the latest version of ActiveSync.
  7. Reboot

The RAPI.DLL is just one of over 25 million updated, authentic Microsoft files, in the Reimage repository, ready to restore your PC to its full potential.
